What is personal data and what does processing it entail?
Personal data means information about an identified or identifiable natural person. The processing of personal data is basically any action on personal data, whether done by automated means or not, such as collecting, storing, recording, organizing, modifying, viewing, using, sharing, restricting, deleting or destroying. JPC processes personal data for a variety of purposes, and depending on the purpose, different methods of collection, legal basis for processing, use, disclosure, and retention periods may apply.
1. Access data and hosting
You can access our websites without providing your personal information. For each web page call, the server automatically records only so-called server logs, such as the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of the call, the amount of data transferred and the requesting ISP (access data), and documents the page call.
This data is analyzed solely for the purpose of ensuring the proper functioning of the site and improving our offerings. The above serves - as part of the interest assessment - to safeguard our legitimate interest in correctly presenting our offerings. All access data is deleted within seven days of the end of your visit to the site.
Hosting services provided by an external service provider
As part of the entrustment of data processing - an external service provider performs web hosting and presentation services for us on our behalf. All data that - in the manner described in this privacy policy - has been collected as part of the use of our website or in the forms provided for this purpose in the online store are stored on the servers of this service provider. Processing on other servers takes place only to the extent specified in this privacy policy.

2. Collection and processing of data to fulfill the contract and create a customer account

Data transfer
In order to perform the contract, we transfer your data to the delivery service, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select during the order process, in order to process your payment, we transfer the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution handling the payment and possibly to the payment service provider selected by us or by you. Some payment service providers collect the data themselves if you create an account with them. In such cases, you will need to log in with the payment service provider as part of your order by providing your access data. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider will then also apply.
Transfer of data to the courier company
If you give us your express consent to do so during or after placing an order, we will, on this basis, provide your telephone number to the selected courier company so that it can contact you before the delivery of your order to advise or arrange delivery.
